Day 359

Hpno Cake
4.5 shots out of 5

Happy Friday everyone!  It is unbelievable, but next Friday will be my very last day of my challenge!  Can you believe it?  I will have done 366 cocktails when I am finished.....that's a LOT of alcohol!  Sheeesh.  Today marking my 8 days and counting to go, I wanted to share with you the 8th cocktail I made on my blog which is my Blue Hawaiian.  Boy I really liked that one and have made it since!

I gave today's cocktail 4.5 shots out of 5.  Truth be told, I found a recipe on facebook today that was posted my Hpnotiq.  I made the cocktail and just now realized that I had forgotten one ingredient (is my brain on Friday mode already?  guess so....), so I decided to change the name and call it my own.  This is a nice tasty cocktail.  It may be a little sweet for some, but apparently I was in the mood for "a little sweet".  I halved the amount of the ingredients that I remembered to put in the cocktail and made myself a martini sized shooter.  Note: Yes I DO still hate sprinkles....but the original recipe called for them, so what can you do?

Here is my recipe for a Hpno Cake:

  • 1 oz Hpnotiq
  • 1/2 oz cake vodka
  • sprinkles to rim the glass
In a shaker, add ice and the first two ingredients.  Shake and strain into a sprinkle rimmed martini shot glass......or any shaped sprinkle rimmed shot glass.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here's to Friday!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and let me know if you try any amazing cocktails!

Cheers!!
