Day 179

Mad Dog
2 shots out of 5

I have to admit, I kinda had high hopes for tonight's cocktail.  Lately I've been proven wrong time and time again, so I was thinking that EVEN THOUGH this is a tequila cocktail I would like it.  Boy was I wrong.

I gave tonight's cocktail 2 shots out of 5.  I was REALLY hoping that my old trusty friend Creme of Banana would come through for me and cut away enough of that tequila taste to make me like this cocktail.  It didn't work.  At first I thought, "Hey, this isn't too.........." SQUINCHED FACE!  Oh well, can't like them all.  I taste a hint of the cacao at first followed by a good dose of the banana and then the tequila steps right in front and takes over.  For those of you who enjoy tequila, you may very well enjoy this cocktail.  For those of you who have had a BAD experience with tequila, I'd skip tonight's cocktail.

Here is the recipe for a Mad Dog:

  • 1 oz tequila
  • 1 oz creme de banana
  • 1 oz creme de cacao
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
In a shaker add ice and all of the ingredients above.  Shake and strain your cocktail into a short glass.

Hope you all had a great weekend!  I know we did!

Cheers!!
