Pomegranate Margarita
4 shots out of 5
We had a BBQ last night and I have to say that my Bahama Mama was an absolute hit! Guys and Girls both liked it, which was nice. Some even came back for seconds. I have a feeling that cocktail will be made many time in the future.
I gave tonight's cocktail 4 shots out of 5. It's a pretty good Margarita. I found the recipe online and cut back on the amount of tequila I used from the original recipe.......I just couldn't see 2 whole shots of tequila mixed into this margarita. The first sip was quite......tart. After the margarita had sit for a little bit, the tartness wasn't so strong and I was able to enjoy it a bit more. I want to try this margarita with my blueberry pomegranate juice sometime in the future.......maybe with a little less lime juice too. All in all, it's not a bad cocktail, especially when the tartness calms down a bit.
Here is the recipe for a Pomegranate Margarita:
- 1 shot pomegranate juice
- 1 1/2 shots tequila
- 1/2 shot triple sec
- 1 shot lime juice
In a blender add 1 cup of ice, pomegranate juice, tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Blend everything together really well so that there is no trace of ice anywhere. Pour and enjoy!

Here's to one more week of school for 2 of my 4 kids, then a whole summer of fun........and cocktails!
Cheers!!
