Buttery Jager Ripple

Day 100

Buttery Jager Ripple
4.5 shots out of 5

After quite a bit of thinking........going back and forth........deciding........un-deciding...........and then deciding again.  I have officially decided that "mixed" shots are classified (in my world anyways) as cocktails.  I think that if I was to pour tequila in a shot glass that wouldn't count as a cocktail, but if I am mixing ingredients, it does count.  If you go to a bar, they do sell mixed shots and consider them a smaller cocktail.......so why can't I?

I gave tonight's cocktail 4.5 shots out of 5.  I was sent this cocktail from Melissa, Thank You Melissa!!  I don't know what it is that scares me about Jagermeister.  I think what it is, is the faces that people give me when I mention the name.........you know that "Eeewwww" puckered face look.  I admit, I was a little scared to try this cocktail, even though I haven't not liked a cocktail a reader has sent me yet!  I poured it, shook it, strained it......took a deep breath and tried it.  YUM!!!!  This is a fabulous cocktail Melissa, I'm sooo glad you sent it to me!

Here is the recipe for Buttery Jager Ripple:

  • 1/3 shot Jagermeister
  • 1/3 shot Irish cream
  • 1/3 shot butterscotch schnapps
In a shaker, add ice, Jagermeister, Irish cream and butterscotch schnapps.  Shake up your ingredients real good and strain into a shot glass.

"Jagermeister", something about it's name made me think of my beer shaped shot glass, and I felt I needed to make tonight's cocktail in it.

Cheers!!
